Every day, more national and international companies are choosing to move their operations to Yucatan, Mexico. The reason is that this state, in the country's southeast, is becoming its new industrial heart. This has to do with to its high growth rates, the incentives offered by the government to invest, and its geographical location, privileged for doing business with the U.S., Europe, and Central America.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) and its Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by State, the industrial sector in Yucatan grew by 10.5% in 2022. This figure is twice as high as the national rate (4.3%), which places Yucatan among the top five fastest-growing states in the country. The state also boasts infrastructure and high rates of security, governance, and political certainty.

These factors have led to the private sector to have confidence in the state, which in turn is reflected in every investment that contributes to generating new sources of employment. One example is multinational company Falco Electronics, which recently opened its sixth location in Yucatan. Falco Electronics, a world-class manufacturer of electronic components, has further established itself thanks to Yucatan's business potential.

Another company that is reaping the benefits of investing in Yucatan is Woodgenix, a Chinese supplier of ready-to-assemble modular kitchens. They're opening their second location, and already working on building a third. A business that's just about to begin investing in the state is Accenture, a software and technology development company.

Yucatan continues to grow, boasting a portfolio of over 200 investment projects above 100 billion pesos; large international firms such as Amazon, Fincantieri, and Tesla are already doing business southeast of the country.
